I started playing Final Fantasy XII again the other day. I thoroughly enjoyed 12 and count it as one of my favorite Final Fantasy titles. It's right up there with VII and IX on my list of most-loved FF games.
I was too lazy to break out my PS2, so I decided to emulate it on my PC. I grabbed a copy of Final Fantasy XII - International Zodiac Job System, which was a special edition that was only released in Japan. You can find a copy on the Internets that already has the English patch installed and works perfectly.
The IZJS version of XII has a number of improvements including some bug fixes, better treasure chest spawn rates, and a totally revamped license board system (if you've never played XII, the license board is a set of abilities you can unlock that are arranged on something similar to a giant chess board). Instead of every character having an identical license board, you now choose a single permanent job class for each character, e.g. knight, white mage, black mage, etc. Each class has its own license board that is tweaked to that job class.
Since you probably don't care about that, here is the best part of emulation. I'm playing at my native resolution of 1680x1050 and I'm using 16x MSAA to remove the horrid jaggies that plagued PS1 and PS2-era games.
Here's what the game looks like on the PS2:
