Details about Project Phoenix, a JRPG being assembled by a bunch of former Final Fantasy developers/producers/artists/etc., are supposed to be announced tomorrow.

I like how when the timer ended, it changed to "Within 24 Hours, something will happen!"

Lol, a countdown to a countdown

A new trailer has been released for The Witcher 3, and it looks like it'll live up to the hype of it's predecessors.

On a side note, I have Steam keys for Botanicula, McPixel, and Amnesia: Dark Descent.  These are duplicates from this week's Humble Bundle of games I already have.  If you want them, let me know.

Good lord that Witcher 3 trailer is amazing.  Now if only they would release the first two for PS3 I would actually consider buying the third one!

I don't know about Witcher 2, but the original Witcher is old enough you can probably run it on an etch-a-sketch.

I have the original Withcer Enhanced Edition on Steam actually.  I just can't stand playing action oriented RPG's with a keyboard and mouse.

Actually, I can barely stand any RPG on the PC.

The original Dragon Age I did prefer on the PC, mostly because it was sort of turn based, strategy combat.

The second one was definitely better on PS3.  As for the Elder Scrolls, the only one I played on the PC to any length was Morrowind.

Which is one of my favorite games of all time, so yeah....

Meredith played Dragon Age 2 on the XBox while I played it on the PC.  It looked god-awful, but she enjoyed the game more than I did, so I guess that could mean something.

Out of curiosity, what has kept you away from Oblivion and Skyrim?  I know played the hell out of Morrowind.

Oh I beat both of those games to a pulp on PlayStation 3.  I wasn't a huge fan of Skyrim with all of its bugs and frankly I feel it's combat system is out of date and terrible.

Mostly, I just like sitting in my recliner playing games on my huge TV more than I do in a computer chair these days.  It's nice (And yes, I know the graphics are worse) to know a game will always work and look like it's supposed to when I play a console ahah.

Admittedly, I've been playing more controller-friendly games with an XBox controller on my PC lately.  Typically, if it fully supports a controller, I opt for the XBox controller over the keyboard and mouse.  Some games like first-person shooters PC RPGs still work best with a keyboard and mouse, but it's nice to be able to lean back and use a controller for driving sims, platformers, and similar titles.

I think I'll always be a PC gamer first and foremost because of the enhanced control over the appearance of the game and the ability to run a myriad of mods on many titles (and the crazy Steam sales don't hurt), but I can certainly see the appeal in console gaming.  There is something to be said for just buying a game and throwing it in the disc tray.
