I have all the consoles, but I dunno, GTA is more fun on PC. I might cave on this one tho. What have you guys been playing lately btw? Borderlands 2 is a riot, and I thoroughly enjoyed Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite a few months ago. I recommend all of them.

I've been having a blast with the newest Wolfenstein and before that I played Metro 2033 and thought it was fairly good...the ending was iffy to me.  Tough little game though.

I've been playing Borderlands 2 and Kerbal Space Program.  Two very different games, but both excellent in their own way.

I have finally been busting through Borderlands 2 and playing Chrono Cross (old school throwback) to get me in the mood for Tales of Xillia August 6th.

You guys should post your PS3 names.  Mines MCFluffyNuts...add me!

Hell YES Chrono Cross!  A great sequel to the finest game ever made.  Chrono Cross caught a lot of flack because it stands apart from Chrono Trigger in terms of story.  Honestly, the game could be set in an entirely different universe until you get 90% of the way through the game.  That last 10% really brings it all together, though, and you suddenly realize how ingenious the writing is.

Admittedly, the SaGa/Suikoden approach to playable characters (an "army" of 40+ characters) was disappointing as none of them really got fleshed out properly, but the game is absolutely incredible otherwise.  The music is particularly amazing and I think Yasunori Mitsuda actually managed to outdo his work on Chrono Trigger.

Since I'm now totally nerdgasming over my favorite game series, here's an awesome fan remake of the intro video for Chrono Trigger:

So I noticed I wasn't the only person playing Borderlands 2 (bob).

How you finding the game Bob?  I personally think it is WAY WAY WAY WAY to long.  Longevity is something I usually admire in a game, but I'm like 30 hours into this damn thing and I'm still not done.  Frankly, I'm bored of it....I find it a chore to talk myself into playing it at this point.  Go to zone, shoot 300 bandits, probably get no guns worth keeping, do 3 quests, do main story quest, rinse and repeat 40 times.

The game is a one trick pony, and while I will admit it has fantastic production values and all that....I have no idea why everyone finds it so damn good.

I am playing it with 2 others, and its like a huge long instance from wow. We are having a blast! I didn't last the first game playing solo. I got tired of it only 3 or so hours in. In this case i think it fully depends on having a crew to compete with. what level are you?

Just like the original Borderlands, Borderlands 2 is really best played with friends.  I tried to slog my way through the single player game before running through it a second time in multiplayer, but I ran out of gas about 80% of the way through (this was right after the game was released).

I picked it up again a few weeks ago and went straight to multiplayer.  It's been an absolute blast!  I've been leveling up like crazy and getting tons of good loot.  It's much faster-paced than single player and you can meet some great people in pickup groups.

If you guys want to throw a group together, let me know and we'll make it happen!

Well perhaps I will try that.  I'm level 29 and I feel I'm not too far from the end of the game, honestly, at this point.

Can I continue the game right from where I am in multiplayer?  I haven't really looked into it and would hate to get sent back further than I am now...

I've noticed a few quests in the game seem really hard (the timed ones) by myself....probably explains that.

Yeah, your game progress is measured in quests.  The multiplayer browser will drop you as close to your current quest as possible.  When you go back to single player, any quests you have completed in multiplayer will also be completed in single player.

Essentially, the game progression is locked to the character and single/multi makes no difference.

Nice!  I have the day off tommorow so I shall give that  a whirl and see if it lowers my boredom of the game any!

Finished Borderlands 2 today with a group of players.  The multiplayer is pretty hectic, and definitely more challenging.  Thanks for the advice!
