Microsoft Office 2007

Have any of you guys seen or used Microsoft Office 2007?  I can't believe how incredibly gay they've made it look.  Seriously, it reminds me of the default Windows XP "Fisher Price" interface.  I think their marketing department is trying to design a GUI that appeals to four-year olds.

I used Office 2007 for all of two hours about a year ago (Beta RC2) and immediately uninstalled it because it drove me nuts.  I tried it out again this week, but still can't get used to the retarded interface.  Worst of all, Microsoft doesn't offer a "classic look" option!

Not only does it look horrible, but it also destroys productivity.  Many of the old menu shortcuts (Alt+F for the file menu, for instance) no longer work and you're required to use the mouse to access the file menu options.  This is a huge productivity waster.

I suppose I should also mention that 2007 is a massive resource hog.  Outlook takes up nearly 100MB of RAM just idling.

BAH!

I find that it requires less clicks to change a setting in Word 2007 which is nice.  Also if you don't use word all the time, you don't have to search all the menu's to find out how to insert a header or footer.  It has some nice intellisense features but they can also trigger things that were unwanted.  Like clicking at the bottom of your page to regain focus into Word 2007, it will insert a footer when that is not your intentions.

Overall, I don't think its an improvement and I think its a slight move in the direction of Mac wannabe or something.

I prefer the following version the most...

Yea, I got it from you 5 years ago and if you had it, that means it was probably 4 years old to begin with.
