I worked closely with a few guys at KDPS several years ago. The ticketing software they use is the one we developed here in Kalamazoo, called eTicket. I'm not with them any longer but the software is booming in law enforcement. While I was there we were landing some huge departments. Miami Dade being the largest in the country. If you've gotten a ticket from any MSP officers or any department in southern Michigan, the ticket you got was created by yours truely. I even got a ticket from it! Sucks when your own software stabs you in the back. Anyway, tangent aside, maybe this information will be of some help to you.

Good luck with the interview! My experience with law enforcement is that some of those guys are pretty laid back and curse up a storm. The dispatchers... speak code over the radio. You probably already know but, they spend most of their time checking to make sure the officers are ok. If the officer doesn't respond, something is wrong. They stay very cool over the radio as well. You would be a great fit, IMO.

I thought it went pretty well today.  I got a few INTENTIONAL laughs so I consider that a good sign as well.
