So I need ideas for my Christmas List...so far I have an Creative Zen MP3 player, Kingdom of the Cults book, a water filter, a paper shredder, and gift certificates to Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, and Family Christian....I can't think of anything good.

Please help me turn Christmas into a more commericialized holiday by giving me ideas.

The best thing I get every year in my stocking is the $20 gift packet thing for the movie theater.  It really comes in handy because of the decent movies around christmas time and it gives you something to waste time on over the long break.

For Patrick:

1. .50 BMG (12.7 mm) McMillan bolt-action sniper rifle with a laser range finder.

2. Bullets

I'm going practical this year, as always.  I asked my parents for a nice Teflon-coated pot, since my existing one is starting to look a little rough.  So far, that's the only thing on my list.  I like surprises. Wink

By the way, if your parents buy you a $10,000 rifle, I will kill you and steal your face.

At any rate, don't ask for an XBox 360.  Not that you would...

Apparently, the new XBox is very buggy, and about 15% of early adopters have already experienced crashes.

Can I ask what a pot is Bob?  No joke here...nothing too funny I can think of.

The movie tickets are a great idea....good job.

Briney...can you see my mother giving me a gun?  I bet she will try and get me not to carry when I'm a cop!

The kind of pot you cook in.  A saucepan, if you will.

You could always ask your dad to help you buy a pistol for training.  If necessary, just tell your mother that you need to learn how to shoot effectively because it might save your life some day.  Law enforcement is a dangerous profession.  You need to know how to protect yourself.

Here's a fantastic Firestorm 1911 .45ACP for only $275.  They're a bit rough compared to the $1,000+ Kimber 1911's, but they're extremely reliable and quite accurate.  Moreover, they come with a lifetime warranty.  I'm think about buying one of these for my stepfather for Christmas.
